The Advent Tree is a Christmas tree that appears during the month of December as part of the countdown to Christmas Day. Beginning December 1st, it appears and brings with it an assortment of goodies, presents, and LOLs, until December 25th. On Christmas Day, each participant in the advent will have a gift waiting for them under the tree!


RULES

There are no particular rules of participation. Have fun, post to as many daily advent posts as you'd like. You are not required to tag every daily advent post in order to "achieve" the final gift on Christmas Day for your character. As for the gift itself, it will be up to each players' discretion and description, anything from a simple pair of socks to a deus ex machina for plotting purposes. Go nuts!

And just for those particularly naughty characters, the tree is located in an area of the Nexus warmly blanketed by the anti-violence field. Plus the permeating smell of fresh-baked gingerbread, which should take the fight out of just about anyone! Any character who attempts to do harm to the spirit of Christmas may be subject to teleportation to the North Pole! ;)

Still, here are some questions we think people might want to know the answer to ...

Q: Nexus Advent? Didn't this suck and fail two years running?
A: You've messed with the rest, now rock around the Christmas tree with the best, baby!

Q: Where's Theta Lou Who?
A: Good question. We suspect he might be off being sorry -- so sorry! -- about tangling Christmas lights or Steampunk Cybermen. (Or he could be snogging the Master Grinch under the mistletoe.)

Q: Do I have to tag each daily advent post for my character to get their present?
A: Nope! Just tag in where when and where you want. At least a few times, anyway, unless you want your character to get a great big lump of coal for Christmas. ;)

Q: What is my character's Christmas gift going to be?
A: That's completely up to you! Whatever they find under the tree come Christmas Day is totally mun fiat, so make it good!

Q: Will there be more than one present? What sort of LOLs will there be?
A: Depending on the day, characters who visit the tree will receive small gifts (at our discretion, so beware!). The LOLs will be Christmas-themed or, well, just plain funny. Each advent post with an LOL involved will have a full description of the LOL, but we do hope to get a few good ones in before Christmas!

Q: Waaaaaait a minute. I used to play NeoPets. I see what's going on. When are you going to bring the Soup Kitchen Fairy into the Nexus?
